Using them to make arrows can be important if you have an archer.įrom what I can tell food is generally for buffs, and usually not really worth the AP. Tremor grenades (knockdown) are great, as are any other disabling effects as a backup when your actual disabling ability is on cooldown.
Once you've read them they should be safe to sell.Įssences should never be sold, combine them with paper and another component to make spell scrolls, or combine them with empty grenades/canisters to make decent consumables. While a number are just fluff, many contain useful information (such as telling you how to neutralize those AoE flowers), update your journal, or unlock recipes. Yes, you should generally read what you come across. There's also at least one crafting item (Yarrow flower) which unlocks a quest solution in Fort Joy. There's one consumable (leg from the scene at the entrance of Fort Joy) which unlocks a dialog/quest option within Fort Joy, and one item (rubber ball) that can be sold which unlocks another dialog/quest option within Fort Joy. In general, if you can't combine it and it lets you add it to wares, it's probably safe to sell.Įxceptions exist but I don't know how you'd know without the benefit of hindsight.
